Food Photographer.

At SALT, we like to think of ourselves as the missing ingredient! We are a small yet perfectly formed team of experts delivering creative content that sells.

We’re an energetic, vibrant, and fun team who value great communication, personal accountability, flexible working, amazing end results for our clients and as much creativity as we can get our hands on!

Our key services include commercial photography, video production, animation, and social media management. Having undergone a very successful rebrand toward the end of last year, 2024 is all about growth and business development here at SALT.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and highly creative photographer to join our team. This role would involve undergoing predominantly food shoots for some incredibly exciting clients, locations spanning all over the UK. The role would very likely also include shoots for other sectors outside of the food / drink market. We’re looking for an individual with a good technical understanding of photography alongside portfolio examples of previous work, however additional training can be provided.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with our clients and the SALT team to come up with creative concepts and styling inspiration for visual content projects.
  • Undergo photography projects (both shoots and post-production) for a variety of clients across several different industries.
  • Attend photo shoots at the SALT studio and on location, locations could span across the UK or potentially abroad.
  • Be responsible for your own equipment and be well prepared in advance for all commercial shoots.
  • Take part in client meetings to discuss shoot preparation and styling, suggesting ideas and concepts.
  • Complete photographic edits. Retouching, colour and light corrections, blemish removal etc.
  • Hit client deadlines and maintain good communication with clients throughout the course of a project.
  • Work closely with the Studio Manager to confirm edit deadlines for photography projects, keeping the Studio Manager up to date with the progress of the project.
  • Keep track of company equipment, working with the Studio Manager to create and regularly update an inventory of equipment.

Application Requirements: Please send your CV and a covering letter to sophie@salt-studio.uk. Please also include examples of your work when applying.

Full clean driving license is essential.
